Personal Development (3) - For Life
This 30-hour course supports life-long personal development. All members of the group will have previously completed the course “Personal Development and Counselling Skills” and “Personal Development - Continuing to Grow”.
This course will be experiential in nature and will feel comparable to the previous group experience. There will be new material to explore with a focus on making personal application of the material in one’s own life. This will be beneficial personally as well as benefiting participants in their interactions with family, friends and colleagues.
A willingness to openly explore and share with others will again be necessary. Each group will have between eight and sixteen members. The group may well be a 'new’ group, drawing together participants from a variety of previous groups. A new contract regarding confidentiality will be established at our first meeting.
This course does not lead to a professional qualification as a Counsellor or Psychotherapist. It is designed for personal growth only.
The anticipated outcomes of this course are:
▪ greater self-awareness and sense of personal choice and responsibility
▪ greater self-worth and confidence
▪ greater compassion with self and others
▪ more authentic relationships with others personally and professionally
▪ more effective communication skills in relationships
This course invites participants to explore and deepen their personal awareness particularly in the areas of attachment and management of losses. Tools to develop self-compassion will be explored to support the process beyond the duration of the course.
There is no assessment in this course however activities to consolidate the learning will be discussed and encouraged.
This course is being held online via Zoom, therefore a good internet connection will be essential.
